A well-rounded Alpha Delt possesses a wealth of knowledge and skills beyond the confines of a textbook. Active members have maintained the success of their lecture nights, in which a designated active member offers to teach his fellow brothers a topic of his choosing. Topics can range from an hour-long mathematical explanation of “The Golden Ratio,” to a 15-minute demonstration of “How To Make The Perfect Long Island Iced Tea.”
In an effort to share and spread the widespread knowledge and talents of all brothers, we would like to extend the call to all alumni in hopes that they will volunteer their time and pass on their experiences to the future of the fraternity. Tuesday, April 27th will mark the first Alumni Lecture Night in which alumnus Russell Flewellen ’05 will lead the actives in an outdoor session of Capoeira, an Afro-Brazilian martial art. Any alumni interested in hosting their own lecture night may contact Nik VanDenMeerendonk at nikvanden@gmail.com.
